I disagree....

If you were all alone in the universe with no one to talk to, no one with which to share the beauty of the stars, to laugh with, to touch, what would be your purpose in life? It is other life, it is love, which gives your life meaning. This is harmony. We must discover the joy of each other, the joy of challenge, the joy of growth.

The biggest human weakness is the ability and desire to inflict pain and to be selfish:
- the things we say without thinking of how we affect another person
- consequences of our actions
- living for 'me'
- war
- abuse

Sorry so heavy ......................

Without a doubt pride. Pride can cause you to distance yourself from others, adopt masks, pursue one track simply because you will not back down to the omission of everything else, and it can corrode a lifetime of dedication to family and career endeavors.

Pride is dangerous and can yield tragic results. When I'm speaking of pride it is not necessarily in accomplishment, I'm referring more to a single-mindedness that causes someone to ignore or disregard others totally. Although, even the pride in one's accomplishments can cause them to become haughty.

Pride zaps strength not increases it as some believe. A humble heart and spirit is by far better. How much greater to be receptive to the suffering of others around you and connected to them then missing out on the joy of forming those relationships in the name of one's "principles."

Often times (and no this isn't always the case or synonymous) life "principles" are little more than someone's disguised pride refusing to yield and show temperance.

Self-consciousness. Without it, there would be no ego, pride, love, greed etc. Sure, we would be like animals and have their flaws and weaknesses, but everything would be done by instinct, and we would be part of a pack/herd etc instead of being aware of - and looking after - number one.

Our self-consciousness gives us the ability to have, express, and betray all feelings. Being self-aware is a strength to an individual, but can be a massive weakness to a species as a whole.

Inconsistency
For angels can defy the rule of God and become evil exemplified through their steadfast hate and obdurate pride.
But when humans falter and drop from heavens into baser dimensions, only in a moment or two, it takes them thousands of years to realise what they have lost and they still fail; they find so hard to stick to the master plan, but neither can they choose to be evil proper and settle for that.

Sloth, laziness...just letting things slide without making an effort to change anything or yourself. A lot of the world's troubles are prolonged and exacerbated by people with lazy minds taking the easy way out.

Our tendency and, indeed, desire to be emotion-driven, dogmatic, and irrational. Humans are capable of great reason and great potential, but we cling too tightly to our beliefs even when doing so leads to bad consequences, and even when our beliefs are directly contradicted by reality.

Far too many people believe in the superstitions and mythologies of their religion, resulting in untold suffering and strife throughout the world as well as the constant oppression of science and rational thought (cf. creationism). Politicians continue to enact the same failed economic programs in defiance of basic laws of economics. Racists continue to buy into the racial stereotypes that perpetuate their hatred and ignorance. People believe in all sorts of pseudoscience like homeopathy, UFOs, ghosts, auras, horoscopes, etc.

These are but a few examples of humans choosing to believe in something when logic and/or direct evidence indicate that their belief is wrong. But people believe because they WANT to believe, and in the majority of people their emotions (in this case, desire--to believe) are stronger than their ability or desire to think rationally.

Our biggest weakness is the ego. It gets us into all sorts of trouble, thinking that we are special. That leads to thoughts like, "I don't have to follow the rules", "I can eat what I want to and not get fat", and "I don't care who it hurts, I'm going to have my way."
