Being in the feminist movement was a good thing in the 1960's and 1970's but somewhere along the line they lost what they were all about.
They are now a democratic organization consisting almost entirely of lesbians.
I usually associate the word feminist with a self- sufficient working woman. Usually having no children.

when i hear the word "feminist" i think of a strong independent woman who knows what she wants and go after it with all the zeal and gusto you can imagine.. but on the other hand the feminist perception is of someone who is way to strong and sometimes seen as so manly that it distorts society's view

Either someone who is a strong proponet of women's rights or some loser who does whatever everyone else is doing and likes to pick fights over the smallest things EX: armpit hair

A lot of girls complaining about men, wanting to have the same rights (which I approve, of course) but still pretending men to hold the doors for them (which I do) and treat them like weak and delicate beings... ^_^
