1st problem:

Divide each term by 8xy. You get:

x/2y + 3 - 7/8y by reducing each fraction.

2nd problem: Factor the top into (x+5)(x+2). Then x+5 cancels, so the answer is x+2

3rd problem: Are you sure you copied this correctly? If you factor the top, you get

(3x-2)(9x^2 + 6x + 4), so dividing by (3x+2) means that nothing cancels.
