Help him look for her. I'm a mommy too so my maternal instincts are always working.

i think i would wait a few seconds and see if he finds his mommy then i would go up to him,,and ask him how his mommy looks or ask the store to announce it on the speaker thingy...
oh and give him some candy to call the kid down :P

if not call an employee and ask for them to go through the tapes and see who the mother is so they can contact her

i usually watch for a couple minutes to make sure they're found. if not, i find a store employee to help.
