They were a great band & it's too bad people only think of them for "The Boys are Back in Town"....they made several great songs especially when Brian Robertson & Scott Gorham were the twin lead guitar players! Their album "Fighting" is a must have for any fan of Thin Lizzy!!!!

i agree. My favorite songs are Jailbreak, Whiskey In The Jar, and Bad Reputation. Your right The Boys are back in Town is weak and a lot of people don't even know that Thin Lizzy does this song.

edit: Thin Lizzy is better than U2 anyday.

They had a good run in the mid-70's, but it was a quick fall from that point. Drug usage played a part in this with the death of Phil Lynott. I think they get about the right amount of credit.

Absolutely. I am in the minority here, but I believe they were the best to come out of Dublin. I have never been much of a U2 fan, so give me the "Cowboy Song" et al any day.

I agree with that
Although I like "boys" jailbreak, cold sweat, and others are much better.
I love the guitar sound and vocals of that band!

"Tonight there's gonna be a jailbreak
Somewhere in this town
See me and the boys we don't like it
So were getting up and going down"

If Phil hadnt died im sure they would still til this day f*cking put on a great show

They are very underated..Their two gutarist..besides Phil were amazing and the core of the band for their musical Identity..they were crazy and all over the place! I place that duo right behind Hendrix!
