George Bush is a hero to me, and I'm glad to have a president that stands for what he believes is right, rather than make decisions based on biased polls.

He is for me also. I don't always agree with him, but he is a good leader. At least with him we know that when he says something he really means it. I can't believe what I am hearing from the Dems on C-Span tonight. We have troops on the ground and these folks all want to stand and speak to the media, and commend one another on their fine speeches. I see from most of the liberal postings to this question the same disrespect for this President and our troops that I hear and see on YA every day. If I had parented my four children in the manner the Dems want to run a country, they'd all be sitting in rehab or prison by now. Thanks

History is going to be very kind to George W. Bush. He fought an elusive and murderous enemy with all the resources available to him and his associates.
As thanks from a grateful nation, we have extremists and sheep calling him an idiot, cheat, liar, and worse.
If Americans had access to 1/10th of the intelligence that the military and the commander-in-chief have, this discussion would never even happen. The president would be one of the most beloved and respected in recent history.

Hey Sharon, what do you mean by a biased poll?
A poll is just a sample of public opinion. A poll could give misleading results if the question is asked in a misleading way. A poll's results might also be questionable if the sample selected is not a representative sample. And of course every poll has a margin of error of several percentage points. BUT, none of that means that a poll is biased. A poll just reflects the way people answered the question. And why shouldn't elected officials pay attention to what the people think? Isn't this supposed to be a democracy?

I seriously hope you are being sarcastic. How anyone in their right mind could consider Bush to be anything more than a bumbling moron is beyond comprehension.

An amazing disappointment. And you have low standards for hero worship.

It is good that he has a positive impact in your life. I would just say he is far from my hero, but still my president.
