Assuming these are new...

Klaxons: I don't care if they're called "new rave" or "old rave" or "weird stuff", their sound is entirely different, only to be beaten by their videos

Bloc Party: A ton of great songs, I haven't found many I don't like, and I can listen to The Prayer daily.

Panic! At the Disco: Oh yeah, I know I should be ashamed of myself, I get it...I happen to enjoy them, and A Fever You Can't Sweat Out is fantastic for a debut in my opinion- they had a poor choice of singles, perhaps.

The Killers: debut 2004, new-ish, and I like Sam's Town more than Hot Fuss anyway- but both albums are pretty fantastic, and I can't find a song I truly dislike

Daughtry is the only person to even come close to being a favorite with in the last 2 years.

other than that the only band in RECENT times I like is Nickelback ,, but that was what what at least 7 years back.

any other good bands I would have to go back to before 1994 or so.

tapes n tapes .. of course

listening to my favorite singers from 'wolf parade' create their own successful side projects with 'sunset rubdown' and 'handsome furs' was an unexpected treat... giving me more and more music to enjoy... and the other offspring, 'swan lake' was pretty decent as well.

but tapes n tapes is a break thru artist... praised by critics all over. im sure you'll hear plenty from them in the future... unique voice.. great rhythm.. truly original work that doesnt sound like anyone out there.
