Jon A has some really good advice for buying a new car.
That being said, you can knock off as much as you feel like when you are getting a new car- all the way down to invoice. Dont be afraid to walk, or be on the verge of walking. Remember, you are buying a new car, its not going to be like finding the perfect used car, you can find a new Acura at every Acura dealer- no shortage. Let the salesman know that. Even if you walk, chances are he'll call you the next day and offer you the price you're looking for. Make sure he knows its not a desperation buy.
And about the discounts- I bought an Infiniti G and knocked off 5 grand from the sticker. Dont be afraid to negotiate. Acura should be the same way. Try for at least 10% of sticker.

Yeah, tell them that you will take your money somewhere else. I sold Mitsubishis and they played like that on the Evos and Spyders. See the power of buying a car is yours and you have to know how to get the price that you want.
There is four things that figure into that.
1: The price you agree on.
2: The price of your trade in.
3: The term of your loan. How many months.
4 And your down payment.
See when you buy a car a dealer wants you to put more money down. This you control. Cause when you drop a wad their front end goes up. The front end is a precentage that the individual seller gets. If you have 5 grand to drop on the car tell them that you want that MSRP down or no deal. Cash speaks and you have to take a stance.
You also control the price of your trade in. If you are upside down still than this is of no use, cause you still owe more than it is worth. But if you are on the positive side of the loan than you have some leverage. Get the most out of your trade in. You should be able to talk them to about a grand or so of what you car books for. Why, cause the dealership is still making money when they sell your old car.
Now as for the rest of the list, you really don't control. I mean if you fight your monthly payment down, the duration of the loan gets longer and nobody wants that. So fight them with a hugh down payment and the value of your trade in to get that MSRP out of the way. If they want to make some money they will sell the car. Just be strong and don't waiver. If you can do that you will more than likely get what you want unless they are just assh*les.

I actually have a 05 Acura TL and just bought my wife the 06 MDX. She absolutely loves it!!!! It is a really smooth ride and quite on the road. No complaints at all except when it got cold outside.....(I live in Florida too by the way) the tire pressure sensor went off but was easily fixed by adding air to the tire. Outstanding vehicle!!! And very nice interior and the best thing is it comes fully loaded basically with only option being navi and DVD. Everything else is standard. We love our Acura's!!!

Yep. Actually I negotiated with an Acura Dealer, 1K lower than the Invoice price. Go to as much dealer as you can, and always tell them "can you beat this offer?". They would either throw in some cool stuff or lower the price...

Edmund's .com suggests a discount of about $1100.00 and most dealers will go with this or at least should. But keep in mind some colors are more sought after and can pull full MSRP. This is the most sought after SUV in the industry since the Car and Driver report came out.

Yes, there is. Don't believe the hogwash. Of course they will try to tell you they don't discount. However, when they smell cash and commission, their tune will change.
Ask the dealer for the best price he has to offer on the model you choose, and be prepared to inform him that you are shopping around and will select from the best offer made to you, and you're not coming back if his isn't the best.

It's possible you can't, the dealership I work at doesn't haggle over the price.
