Heat with a healthy Wade and a Shaq that can play more than 30 good games in the regular season. Chicago is the biggest threat in the division...the team is loaded.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the Pistons aren't exactly out of the picture. Though the Cavs reached the finals, it isn't a guarantee that they'll be back there next year.
As demonstrated by the whipping conducted by the Spurs, the east is far behind the West in terms of Talent.
That makes it a very wide open race for the East Title between the Pistons, Cavs, Bulls, Magic, Nets & even a healthy Wizards.

you can really look for the bulls to make a run in the '08 playoffs. i knew that the threat of the piston team no longer remained in the season before last, when they played the cavs. Miami's 07-08 season all depends on whether or not Wade will be healthy. Even if he has to sit out at the beginning of the season, you can guarantee the Heat are not going to give up without a fight.

the bulls. Have you seen them. They are the most unselfish team out there. They are like the florida gators team where no is truly a superstar but everyone contributs. They're the ideal teamwork team and they are developing just as quickly as quickly. Detroit won't be able to right their ship and miami has only one good season left to get a championship. Chicago will be clevalends long range rival. They lost to detroit in 6 cleveland won against detroit in 6. Next yeard chicago will win in 6 against detroit to so they're only a step behind the cavs and soon will catch up and be an equally good championship claibre team with the likes of gordon, hinrich, nociono, deng etc. Also it would be interesting to see Kobe there even if the trade isnt going to happen . It would be kobe and lebron vying for the east. That would get viewer ratings WAY up and isn't nba just like any business a way to make money?
Final answer: chicago

The wizards and bulls. The bulls are young and scrappy and can win angainst any team. The wizards always keep the games interesting, and they can shoot the lights out. If, there are no injuries, both teams can beat the cavs.......oh, and how are the pistons out of contention all of a sudden? They are still the team to beat in the east.

Pistons are still if not more of a threat. They wont lose anybody of great value and they added Stuckey who is going to be a great scorer off the bench. Look out for Maxiel too.
The Heat will be good this year if Wade stays healty. Maybe the Wizards if they learn to play defense. Sleeper teams will be the Hawks and Bobcats.

Why is Detroit out of the picture? I think Detroit wins the East next year unless the bulls get a more dominate big man.

The Bulls are definitely a dangerous team. I think this year they will be able to beat anybody. Their backcourt is really developing and they are a tough team. They won't roll over like the Pistons. I also like the Wizards, and Bucks are my sleeper this year.

Nets. I've always been a Piston's fan, UNTIL they wrecked the team by not resigning Big Ben. He WAS the Piston's!
