Well..a couple of ideas. If you could find a nice book in Italian about the USA. Or once you are there invite them to eat to show your appreciation and buy some flowers for the host mom

Having labored with foreign places nationals for the previous 9 years, what i stumble on they take domicile to coach/provide pals are community presents that mirror the place they have been. working example, it somewhat is Texas and the jap positioned up scientific medical doctors take domicile pork jerky. pork isn't reachable in Japan and is exorbitantly high priced, while pork jerky travels properly and is considered an exceptionally beneficiant present. yet another element I even have considered human beings take returned with them (subsequently, a German positioned up record) is cowboy boots - some thing that may not uniquely TEXAN, yet is inspite of the indisputable fact that 'linked' with Texas. subsequently, i'd advise some thing community from the place you reside to offer to the host kin. working example, in case you reside in Wisconsin, take them some amazing dairy cheese. Nuts, pastries and candies are multi-cultural and are many times proper presents for any nationality. So is a bottle of wine or different alcoholic spirits - ergo, human beings tend to hold returned 'tequilla' from Mexico, 'rum' from the bahamas, and so on. i don't think of you may pass incorrect with some thing community in spite of if this is a few thing to consume, some thing to drink or some thing to look at (such because of the fact the coffee table e book stated with the help of yet somebody else who spoke back). I actually have a graduate pupil who takes toiletries returned to his mom and sisters in Jordan - the tub units that are reachable right here at any Walmart or aim. So the gist of it somewhat is, in spite of you're taking is a token of your appreciation for them hosting you. in case you may make that be some thing specific to the place you reside, greater the better. probability is it is not some thing they have obtainable the place they stay.

Something from your home country, for example a book about it. I brought my host family in Spain a book about Chicago, since I'm from there, and my friend brought his host family a book about Wisconsin because he was from there, and both our families loved it!
It is also good for the times you might feel homesick, you can look through it, and it is nice to have there :-)

Something American. It doesn't have to be too fancy. (I don't recommend wine; if you're underage, as I presume you are, you'll never get it through our end of security.) If there are kids in the family, some good American candy would probably be a novelty.

a group photo including yourself and the host family, in a tasteful frame. they would also probably really appreciate future contact and pictures as you progress in life. it would make them feel as though they made an impact on your life and that you consider them family.
