It seems that our country has a new name, "The Homeland." It reminds me of a science fiction series: "My home planet is the third from the sun." What do you think of America's new designation?

I think it's ridiculously self-centered. But then again, what about our country isn't?

I never heard that one, but if it's true, then frankly, I think it's stupid and ridiculous. The United States is a "homeland" to very few of the world's population. Even the people living there cannot qualify to call it such: only the natives can truly refer to this appellation. That being the case, I guess this is yet another propaganda ploy from the government.

So we should say 'United States of America Security'? Using 'Homeland' for some designations is just fine in my humble opinion.
