I think it's supposed to mean that something beautiful, ie. 'good', has been trapped or mixed up in a web, ie. 'evil or bad'. I don't like that saying, because it's assuming that the butterfly is good because it is beautiful. I think the butterfly deserved it.
added: Beauty is exterior, false and misleading.

no i'm kidding, it means that things happen in life and the butterfly could be enjoying the flowers and then get caught in a spider's web .. then again you can make a different result to the whole story .. it's not always that the butterfly will be the spider's lunch or dinner... she can also realize that the web is abandonned and there's no spider.. as well as well as working out at the gym would have been helpful for her so when she got caught in there, she'd be able to fight back and there will a new movie around.. oh wait... what am i talking about... oh damn it... it's coooccooo day again :(

That butterfly is deeply in the brown stuff if you understand my meaning !
Spiders have to eat too ! At least nature is consistant , unlike humans !
