one ferrel, warmed to my husband at the front yard, calm, indoor cuddler, killer outside, the second, orphaned and doomed in a little pipe at work, he rescued it and it thinks I am mom.

Weirdness? Not necessarily. I think cats are like the old "hobos"--they leave signs that only other cats can read. You've just become known among cats as a "safe haven." The same thing happens to me--I never have less than three running around.
Why black ones--maybe co-incidence, or maybe it's because superstitious people are more likely to dump black cats. (Just for the record, as a practicing witch I've never found any correlation between the color of a cat and it's effectivness as a familiar.)
P.S.--don't forget to have them spayed/neutered.

Not black cats, but cats in general can be a sign. When I first began to develop, spiritually, I had cats everywhere--one neighbors cats was always over to see me when I was outside, several more than seemed to camp out on my doorstep every night (they drink out of the fountian I have on the front porch and use my yard as their litter box), and 3, possibly 4 spirit cats that had decided my house was home.

I don't know but now I am curious to see all the answers you get as I had 5 black cats at one stage,all stray cats that came to my door.I found homes for 2 of them and I kept 3.

Are you wearing light colored clothing? Black cats always seek me out when I'm wearing khakis and a light colored sweater! I just have bad luck though, so I get the cat hair stuck to me because I am the allergic one that doesn't want to play with the cats! Cats seem to want attention from the one person (who is allergic, doesn't like cats, etc) that isn't giving it to them!

I don't think so. I think the black cats may be a coincidence, for a lot of random cats come up to my house and try to get in.

No, not really. More than likely all those black cats are related and when they see you are caring for one, you can bet more are going to come.

Now if black cats are seeking you out to be taken in your home there is a chance that could be paranormally motivated.......... But for what purpose I am not totally sure about now... But first we really need to talk this thru..... I can be reached at marks4460@mypacks.net.... And yes I have a few question that I need to have clear in my mind first..................................... For ghost or demons do not need to disguised themselves in any form to gain entry into anyone's home on a normal bases.........................................

I think they think you are the big hero! if there were more black cats when I got spitfire im shure the same might of happend.
Do they look happy or mad or mabe confused?
cats are so cute!
let me know if they start worshiping you, they might think you are there god! :)

I doubt it, it has happened to me my whole life. Although, in the weirdness factor, guess I might not be the one to ask! LOL!
