long lasting, for sure. I've been single a long time, but stopped acting like it a long time ago, too. It isn't all it's cracked up to be. Mostly at the end of the day, you'd like to be able to just sit and talk about things.. to someone who's name you actually care to remember.

A part of my says date. Not because of the indepedence but the ability to not be tied down. But another part of me says relationship. You can have independence in a Long term relationship. There is just something about being with someone and getting married and having a family with them that is ideal. Knowing that when you come home the people that you love will be there, it's nice. Not that everything will be picture perfect but everything has it's problems, even dating has it's problems. You just pick your battles wisely and hope/ work-at things to go as well as they can.

Well, I've been married twice, and have sworn never to marry again, though I've been with my current boyfriend for about a year and a half. I won't marry again, and sometimes I think I don't even want a relationship at all. And thinking about dating just makes me queasy. I think I'd rather be free and NOT date.....just go out with friends from time to time......

I'm in a long lasting relationship and I prefer it much more than the single life. And you can always flirt a bit so long as it doesn't get carried away and goes no further.

A mix. A mildly long, flirting relationship. Nothing too serious, nothing too whore-ish. Definitely. No crying during break-up, but no putting up with cheating, etc. I'm not just a body.

Long lasting. Short term relationships are unfulfilling & a waste of time. I'm not really wired for flings- I need something permanent & secure.

I think none of us really want to be alone, even with someone you can be alone. I want to share my life with that person whom makes be feel alive, with a pulse. You know your job is cut out for you or have some serious choices to make when you end up asking your partner while just finishing making love, "Dear do you think it's time we paint the ceiling?"
If ever I was to fall into that category it would only be then at I would rather be alone! ;-)
