My wife and I just came back from Vegas and we could not believe how many children were all over. There has to be a hotel were were children are highly discouraged. Vegas is an adult play ground and we always leave our kids home, that is what Disneyland is for! So when we get to Vegas we want to have fun with out fighting other ankle bitters. There has to be a hotel that discourages kids. Maybe someone could open an adults only hotel!

When I was in Vegas I stayed at The Hotel at Mandalay Bay (all suite hotel). Not many kids there at all. Whatever you do, don't go to The Excalibur or Circus Circus...what a zoo!!!

Depends on where you live now. But unless you live on the beach in Fla. you would LOVE VEGAS! There are tons of Seniors who have retired there. Free gourmet food in the casinos every night, free swimming (somewhere) every day. A massage in the spa, a game of golf, some fishing at the lake. the Senior women are not like the rest of us. These women are ex-showgirls, these women are the creme dela creme. if you want the old fogey life, they have that also. Card parties and potlucks at any church or community center. No gambling is necessary, just go in the lounge and sit awhile and see all the lounge acts. you can even get into the big shows for free if you know how. you can even get a job if you want to work. They always need somebody to empty the ashtrays and keep the toilet paper full in the restrooms. I mean, lots of people think retiring in Vegas is the ultimate. Oh, they also have great basketball and airfares are cheap into S.F. or L.A. or Reno or SLCity. Send us a card.

As a parent I totally agree. I want a hotel in Vegas without those kids at the pool and everywhere else I go. Despite trying to bill itself as family friendly, Las Vegas needs to keep it as an adult playground. Last time we were there the pool had so many kids in it we stayed far, far away. So here';s my vote for an all-inclusive hotel for adults only, discrimination or not

I hear ya! Kudos to you and your wife for seeing Vegas for what it really is - GrownUp Disneyland! I don't understand why people feel a need to tote their kids everywhere they go - there are some places where it's not appropriate for them, and Vegas is one such place! It used to be at night you wouldn't see so many children, but that's changed now too. =( Ever since some supergenius in the city's marketing department thought it would be a good idea to try to cater to familes (I hope he or she got fired for that dumb move!!) it's been that way. Never mind that now they make it clear they want the 25 and up crowd.

Bellagio used to have a policy of no one under 18 was allowed to stay in the hotel, but I gather that has changed. Apparently, the Wynn has adopted such a policy, but I did see some rugrats during the morning hours, but I'm assuming they were just gawking around.

No kidding! Kids are all over the place, who takes their kids to "Sin City" for a vacation! We did not see a lot of kids at the RIO or the Palms. The idea that it is a "family town" died long ago, most of the rides and arcades are gone and Vegas has worked hard to get the "Sin City" image back. However, some people still drag infants into casinos at midnight. Now I ask you, how is that right? NO KIDS IN VEGAS, go to Disneyland or something! A place for adults would be nice, there are none!

i'm 18 and grew up in vegas since i was 9... The Wynn hotel doesn't let anyone in under 21 but is very expensive and other than that i'd say bars and strip clubs. But There is a cerfew so after midnight there shouldn't really be many kids out cause the cops r a pain on that **** unless they r with parents.

The Wynn is the only hotel I know that has an over 21 policy in all areas and not just casino. They enforce it too.

Downtown also has fewer kids since with the exception of the Fremont experience, there are fewer kid oriented activities.

Also, if you go during the school year there is less kids. I find May a good time of the year because it's nice and warm and school is not out.

I totally agree. I wish there was one vacation spot I could go to get away from children. Vegas, sadly, is not that way. If there was an adult only hotel, I would so pay extra to stay there.

I really wish that restaurants had children and no children sections. Nothing makes me angrier than a child being obnoxious while I'm paying good money to eat. Spare me the "oh, my kid doesn't do that" and the "I pay to eat there too" speech. That's the way I feel and its not changing.

Parents get control of your younguns and don't take them to Vegas!

Wynn doesn't allow children. Several of the hotels also have adult pools. You usually have to pay to use them, but it would probably be worth it.

We stayed at Caesars and didn't see many kids, even at the pool.
