I wear my seatbelt most of the time and only because it's the law in California. I resent being told what to do, but I acknowledge that it's safer. I think adults should be able to make that decision for themselves, though.

Yes, I do, and not getting a ticket is the only reason. Since in the state of NJ, the cops can pull you over for not wearing the seal belt, which does not cause an accident, and meanwhile, drunks go weaving down the road, which is known to cause accidents. And people talk on cell phones, put on make-up, shave and read the paper, which does cause accidents, but they cannot be pulled over just for those things alone.

I wear my seatbelt all the time when I am driving. It has saved my life a few times. It is habit for me to grab my seatbelt when starting the car up before pulling out of Park. When I was real young, I hardly would wear it when driving, in the last 10 to maybe 15 years I have worn it quite often though.

I wear one every single time I am in the front seat, for some reason never in the back seat. I get car sick in the backseat and for some reason the seatbelt increases the nausea.
I wear a seatbelt for safety! I am a very nervous vehicle passenger. I've been in too many car accidents ... I've never even gotten my driver's license yet... 25 yrs old .. I just recently went to get my permit though... Wish me good luck!

I wear it all of the time now. Ever since I got stopped on the way to work one day and a motorcycle policeman pulled me over and I acted as guilty as a serial murderer. He saw my hospital ID and asked me if I was under any stress. I told him I was right then. He let me go with a warning to always buckle up. I do-but I really dont like being tied down-anywhere.

I've been wearing a seat belt religiously since January 1980 since I signed the pledge they asked us to sign to wear a seat belt at all times while on base. When I don't wear it I feel unprotected.

Definitely wear it -- about 6 years was involved in a
fender bender traveling about 22mph -- wasn't wearing
a seat belt and ended up with three broken ribs --ooooooh
the pain-- been religiously wearing a seat belt ever since.

Yes I do. I wear it because I have seen many people killed and badly hurt because they weren't wearing it. Statistically speaking, it does NOT save lives. It is almost exactly the same as not wearing one. It doesn't change the odds of survival, but DOES decrease your odds of severe injury.
