Christ clearly said there were early "christians"
that incorporated sexual practices into their teachings. But He didn't care for that.
I won't win any popularity contest with this. But I see people debase the experience of the Holy Spirit right in the Church. Jumping up and down and screaming and yelling like it's the Holy Spirit
to get thier thrill! Recieving the "laying on of hands" to get a "rush", and then laugh about it!
PITIFUL!

I have no problem with what you're saying, however I would post this is R&S if you want to get a lot of answers since they get lots more Christians than we do in M&F.

Personally, I think it's all just a symptom of the big disease we call 'organized religion' no matter what flavor it is.

Regardless of our spirituality, we still need Jesus. Yes, there are some who dance on the pews. Some do so for a show, and some do so because they are that excited about the Lord. The laying on of hands is merely a contact point for the purpose of building faith for healing or some other spiritual gift to be imparted, but the power is not in the hands.

Have you ever dined at the master's table? Have you ever sat in his thrown room? It truly is a remarkable experience.

I know a lady who is very strange. One day I met her sister. She said to me that Suzy lives in her own little world. I told he, Yes I know. I've been to that world. It's a nice place. I plan to go there when I leave this one.

It is true what Will McCoy said, that some people are so heavenly minded that they are no earthly good, but to draw close to Jesus is good.

Yes, for the likes of me seeing examples of that on TV is a real turn off. This has nothing to do with God or spirituality. It looks more like an excuse for people to just let go, kind of like a game show or pop concert atmosphere. God exists, man has a soul. But don't you think we should be a little careful with such a incredibly powerful being. Most Christians seem to think it's a big joke just for Sundays.

yes. there are things that remind a person of the saying forbidden fruit is the best .for example the obssesion with nuns. the fantasies about having one that are perpetuated. the jokes about getting nun. wonder how the jokes affected nuns . possibly just ignored it. debased indeed. but that is the problem is it not that religion is based on currency. more talk perhaps of The Human Spirit and less of The Holy Spirit.

Each person must experience the joy as they see it. It is only then they can advance a tiny bit, and see something even better. Try not to judge anyone. They are all reaching for the same thing; to advance spiritually and learn life's hard lessons.

I am sorry to say that false teachers bring that on themselves and their church... And many churches do not teach their flock correctly when it come to teaching about the Holy Spirit and its true effects when in comes down on people...... And when the Holy Spirit come down on you you are totally over-whelmed and the last thing you would want to do is jump around.... Some people are just frozen in their tracks and can't move a muscle.. And they began talking in some very strange spiritual languages.........................................................

To answer this requires a decent definition of "spirituality." I don't know of one; do you?
