So my friend thinks that miley cyrus only got the partof "Hannah Montana" just because she is the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus (or whatever his name is)! And she thinks that Miley didn't have to work at all to get that part she just had to audition and she would get it because her dad is fmaous. Do you think that that is true? If you don't think its true could you plz find some evidence or a website so that i can prove to my friend that she is wrong. Thanx in advance!

Nope. She's wrong. Miley said in some videos of interviews I saw that they called for 15 year olds for the part and she was only 11. They kept saying no because she was too young and so she kept telling her mom she wanted makeup, high heels, and anything to make her look older. And she kept on going back everytime they said no. I don't remember everything else exactly but she kept going back more and they finally said yes.

Check wikipedia, from what i recall there is a little segment that mentions her audition. i believe she auditioned at the age of 11 for another project with Disney and the executives didn't think she was big enough for the part. She was eventually cast as Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana. Her father auditioned long after her when they were looking for someone to play the role of her father. It wasn't a project that had to do with Billy Ray until Miley was involved.

no, that is not true. miley had done parts in movies/tv before and she went through the whole audition system for hannah montana, but im sure it didnt hurt that her dad is billy ray cyrus.

I certinly dont believe she just got te part. I mean she might have auditioned and then her dad was with her and maybe htat decided to make it a father daughter show. Even if your friend is right i dont think there would be any place that you could find evadince that the part was given to her. That would be like a huge embarrassment.

i say no bc he is trying to make a comeback himself and he has to kiss *** and work his *** off too just to get back to where he was. So she would have to work hard too. She still will have to adution i think if her dad was still famous really famous maybe she would not have to work really hard or not at all. Since her dad is not that famous she still had to work and audtion for the part of hannah. i think she probably got it bc she has that heavy accent and the character is really southern plus she can act. So i thin she got bc she can act and she has the accent they were probably looking for.

That's right. I kept sending in several auditioning tapes for a few years with completely new twists. Finally they chose me and allowed me to be on Disney along with my dad. It was the happiest moment of my life.
It was not because of my father no matter what anyone says.
