Anyone out there know if there is any product or special trick to keep your fabric from fraying in the wash before you use it?
Without ruining the fabric of course.

Thanks!

Stay stitch the cut edges of the fabric before washing - or use a wide zig zag at the edge. There is a product called fray check that you could use, but the stitching has always worked better for me.

I usually buy large amounts of fabric, and stay-stitching would take too long, so I just snip off all four corners. You only need to cut off an inch. It will still fray a little bit, but you won't get the huge tangled balls of thread.

I totally agree with Candy ... a stay-stitch or a zigzag on the edges will work wonders :-)
