what is this whats the cause and how 2 solve it

could it be someone using my wireless conexion?

It means that you are giving two computers, or items that connect to the internet (xbox 360) the same IP address to connect. If you aren't giving out static IP addresses, then it shouldn't be a problem, but on occasion it will say this. When your router hands out the IP addresses it shouldn't give two computers the same IP address, but on occasion it gets "stupid" and does. It shouldn't be a problem, and you have nothing to worry about as long as you can still get on internet with all of your computers.

If you use DHCP you shouldnt have this problem.. The problem is from having two computers with the same ip address.. i would say turn everything off and turn it on again starting with your router first.. that should solve it.

If your running them on the same network. Get on one of the computers and try this.

Go to start menu
Click on Run
in the bar that pops up type in
CMD
When the black box pops up type in
ipconfig release Then press enter
then type
ipconfig renew Then press enter
then type
ipconfig

See if that works.

Either something on your network has a static IP set conflicting with something else, or something did not release it's IP.

Start with rebooting everything, including your modem.

it measns 2 machines on the same network have the same ip address. find the pc's and change the ip address on 1.

2 pcs using the same network .
its harmless and it only appears when the too pcs log on the same website like yahoo for example.
dont worry about it .
