Agree. It is simple mathematics. If you make 25 million and only pay 28% in taxes on your income only, you are not paying your fair share. You can move and shift funds around the tax loopholes free and clear meanwhile the Middle and Working Class can barely put their kids into college without taking out a second or third mortgage. Come on, gimme a break - fix the tax code!! Anyone making over $100,000 or better needs to pay more in terms of their taxes. This also needs to include their investments and savings packages as well.

Buffet lives in a very pretty home in Omaha,Ne.The same one he has always lived in and the appraisal is around $500,000.He gives enormous money to different charities and is very generous with his money. He was poor as a boy so he earned the money by investing. So to one of your people that answered about what Buffet pays.It is more than any of you would dream of.

Buffet is a certified liberal..Warren said in another interview that he was paying less tax than his secretary. There is a single reason for this; and keep in mind Mr. Buffet is no idiot. Im almost 100% sure he has his money stashed away in tax-deffered accounts. Ever heard of a Roth-IRA? And I'm also sure he has loopholes and other things that allow him to not have to pay taxes. He would have never dared say this as he was amassing his wealth, because that could have cost him dearly. For those who think with wealth comes responsibility thats bogus. The lower class should take up some responsibility and stop blaming rich people for their problems. Im sure he pays more than his fair share of taxes. and the lady who said to whom much is given, much is expected. thats also complete ludicrous. He was not given a billion dollars one day. He was a very intelligent man and worked for his money to buy stocks at a young age. he just happened to pick a great stock. Its not like his dad died and left him this huge amount of money.
Doctdon you sound like a very smart man.

Agree. Do you want to live on 90% of 30k a year or 60% of a 100k a year? The bills have to be paid. I don't think poor people stay that way just to pay less taxes.

Disagree. They are the ones that invest in new business and create the jobs. If they are taxed so heavily, what is the incentive to try and help grow the economy? I would agree to a flat tax, but not something so far fetched it becomes unfair to everyone. For some reason people think it is the government that makes new businesses and jobs. This just is not true.

Agree. The rich benefitted from a lot of people's work in order to get rich. It's their responsibility to pay some of that back.
