No, it means that the majority of broadcast stations are owned by a handful of Republicans who wont put an opposing view on the air. By the way Air America is alive and well, I listen to it on 1310 AM WDTE, Detroit.

It is impossible to broadcast a meaningful format when the only message consists of demeaning and criticizing the other party. It is necessary to occasionally submit an alternative or solution to the concerns presently facing this nation - and, as proved by Air America - this portion of the broadcast was sadly missing. One can only listen to the constant rhetoric of liberalism for so long before one starts to get the idea that maybe, just maybe, they don't have any viable alternatives or solutions. It's at this juncture that even the liberals want to change stations.

No, it means that AA thought they could copy the Talk Radio format and found out that it was more than what they thought it would be.
But then again, who really wants to listen to how all the worlds problems are all America's fault and all America's problems can be solved if we were only taxed more and more or the Govt. controlled this or that.
And all this coming from condescending people with the personalities of dry toast. I'll pass!
P.S. to Henry, So you own a M-B. Are you trying to impress us? Do you want a cookie for it? Because no one really cares.

If Fox News were to fail tomorrow, does that mean most Americans aren't diehard Republicans?
Your question is so silly, it's not even worth its weight in salt.
To say that most Americans aren't LIBERALS, is implying that most Americans are toeing the Bush line of thinking and that everyone AGREES with him on a daily basis.
Which--I can say--the majority of them DON'T.

Possibly. I doubt the car part. Just look at all those Priuses out there.
One thing is for sure, it definitely means they've had to resort to calling for restoration of the Un[sic] Fairness Doctrine, rather than allow market forces decide what gets broadcast on radio.

Maybe it means most liberals are too busy working their butts off for measly low wages so fat cats can have yachts and get big bonuses even when their company goes down the toilet. They don't have time to listen to that stuff they're too busy working.
This liberal has a car made by Mercedes Bens. What do you have?

It means that Liberals are not Rush Limbots who cannot form an opinion without one of the talking heads telling them what to think.

I think that it does mean that. Air America failed because it didnt get ratings. Conservative talk radio does, and if it doesn't that host is gone. So what the failure of Air America tells me is that people choose not to listen to it because they don't buy it. There are plenty of choices of things to listen to all over the radio dial. No matter who owns the station, no matter who is speaking, if people do not think that what they are hearing reflects their values, they will not listen.

No, it mean that most American do not want to here hate filled lies that have no truth in the message. We are open to liberal radio that is based on facts.
