I celebrate the 4th of July Independence day.
September 11 is just a day between September 10 and September 12. Life goes on. Tragic what happen. But I refuse to let anyone terrorize me. Not Al-Quida, nor nuclear war, nor drive by shootings, nor the Bush Administration.

maybe if someone "started something" in 2002, we would not have had the Iraq War.

"Facing clear evidence of peril, we cannot wait for the final proof -- the smoking gun -- that could come in the form of a mushroom cloud."

9/11 is not just another day. Innocent people were slaughtered, an attack on American soil. You aren't being terrorized by remembering the events and people that died that day and in the aftermath. By remembering that day, it keeps fresh in the minds of Americans what can still happen.
Life goes on? Sure does. The lives of people that lost loved ones goes on too, children without mothers and fathers, parents with out children and husbands and wives without spouses.
I don't think anyone is saying celebrate that day. Just remember it and the people lost.
I agree with you about not being held hostage by anything you listed. When a society lives in fear of terrorism, terrorism wins. If more people had your feelings on this we would be stronger as a nation

It will never just be another day.

Oh, what happened on 9/11 was not a tragedy. It was an attack. An act of war.

The Titanic was a tragedy. Hurricane Katrina was also one, but not 9/11, or December 7, 1941.

It's a date that will live on in infamy. Just like Nov. 22, 1963. Or Dec. 7, 1941. We will move on, but we will never, ever forget.

That may be how you deal with it. Everyone has their own ways of dealing with it, but I definitely do not consider it 'just another day'.....

The lives of each and every American drastically changed that day, and I think the day deserves respect.

No, it's not just another day. I can't believe you are American and can even ask that. It's not about letting the terrorists get to us, it's about remembrance and honoring fallen heroes.

I think we should respect the families of the deceased on that tragic day enough to acknowledge all those who died that day.
