I once won a twist contest in 1960 , held by a local radio station at the National Gaurd Armory. My dancing partner, Suzy Q. ( real name) Mercer, and I danced to Bo Didley's "You can't judge a book by looking at the cover." I did a 30 second "freeze" move that put it over the top. First prize was a color TV, a 4 foot high Hershey bar, and a case of Pepsis. I gave the TV to Suzy and she went home with the D.J. A real twistin' fool, was I.
