As a youngster many many years ago my grandfather gave me a book to read on socialism. The socialist plan was to dominate education and the news and entertainment industries. I think they have done a pretty good job of obtaining that goal. If that is a conspiracy NPR and CNN fit. And they sure are left of center. Only beleive about half of what you see, very little of what you hear and even less of what you read in the media. My local newspaper won't print a challenge to a liberal position nor any articles that support property rights, criticizes liberals, or questions the education system.

Considering the facts that major corporations routinely sponsor NPR programming and that CNN is owned by Time-Warner and its board of directors includes the following, I'd say yours is an extremely uneducated guess.
James L. Barksdale - Barksdale Management
Stephen F. Bollenbach - Hilton Hotels Corporation
Mathias Döpfner - CEO of Germany's Axel Springer AG
Reuben Mark - Colgate-Palmolive Company
Michael A. Miles - Altria Group (Parent co. of Philip Morris)
Francis T. Vincent, Jr. - Vincent Enterprises
Deborah C. Wright - Carver Bancorp
Edward J. Zander - Chairman and CEO of Motorola Inc.

I think you need to come under the realization that the media has become a business. There for the news broadcasted is going in reference to the highest bidder. That's way CNN is focused mainly on the Liberal point of view and Fox News focuses on the Conservative point of view... Its more about making mainly these days...

It's more like the vast left wing conspiracy is as follows:
The New York Times
The Los Angeles Times
The Washington Post
The Clinton News Network (CNN)
ABC News
NBC News
C(the)BS News
(P)MSNBC
That's just the headliners.

NPR is conservative dude. The public was polled on this issue and over 60% thought NPR was conservative. Guess what? They are right, it is conservative. They don't present different sides very often but they do present the White House version of things all the time. And, most of their sources are conservative. I listen to NPR because it presents the conservative point of view pretty well. I read and listen to other sources outside of television news sources to get all kinds of points of view that are not conservative.

These stations are Bush administration mouthpieces. They are corporate controlled as one answer well pointed out.
I'm astounded that anyone could consider CNN's dutiful jingoism to be left wing.

No, studies have shown that NPR provides the highest quality news coverage, higher than any of the tv networks.

All three are liberal fortresses that live to embarrass the government or our troops. It is time the people let all the networks know how fed up we are with the political slanting of events. Giving terrorist more time on the nightly news than our troops get is ridiculous. Instead of wasting time on Cindy Sheehan and other cases like her the time should be given to those women and children are are Getting along without their loved ones because of their being in the middle east. We owe our service members and their families more attention and help.

No.
CNN is blatantly left wing as is Turner...no conspiracy in that.
pBS is, though subtly. nBS, less subtly.
