Be honest. Don't just give an answer because it is politically correct. Give true answer

Does anybody find it ironic about the verse" Land of the Free home of the brave". When we had slaves during that time and after.

I have to be honest with you, that song doesn't do a thing for me. Except when we have to hit the high notes and I'm straining my voice. It has nothing to do with how I feel about my country. I love my country. I just wish we could have picked a better National anthem.

Proud. I didn't give that because its politically correct. I gave that answer because I see people helping each other all the time. The national anthem has to do with you and me, not Bush or some policy or law, it has to do with you, me, and the rest of us working together.

People quit putting down everything great ever accomplished in this country just because you don't like the current president because you didn't vote for him. I am a Republican who served under Clinton in Bosnia and am sick of people spitting on all the great accomplishments just because their guy didn't win. If your a Democrat, that means democracy, even if it doesn't always go your way. Get over it.

You know, it depends on who is singing it. If it is sung or performed the way it was written, I feel a sense of great pride and joy. If some idiot butchers it with his/her own "special" rendition, I feel revulsion. Not at my country, but at the singer.
I love our national anthem, and I wish those who sing it would do so with the utmost respect that it calls for. Sung properly, I rejoice in this great land. Sung poorly, I want to strangle the singer.

I feel like batting practice is over, the infield's been raked and it's time to grab a beer and some peanuts before the first pitch.

Damn proud. I served my country for 10 years and think it is the greatest country the world has ever seen.

Sorry, It reminds me of the fat pig Roseanne Barr butchering it before a major league ball game. I love our anthem, but can't rid that memory

I'm in my 30's and it still brings a tear to my eye, every time I hear it.

Yeah its also ironic that we had cows and pack mules at the time. Oh the injustice!

Truthfully? It sucks, it's boring and it's out of date and massacred by most people who attempt its singing. America the beautiful would be a better choice.

It makes me feel proud, I just hope this administration hasn't screwed this country up so much that one day we might not feel quite so proud when we hear our anthem....
