Family you are stuck with, born to it. Friends you choose. Sometimes you will like your friends better YOU CHOSE THEM ! But family is very important. They are the ones who will back you up until the end. If you can make friends of your family is the best.

The two hold different types of like. Usually a family is a lifetime involvement in your life, while friends come and go, although there are some friends that become lifetime involvements in your life.

I usually like my friends better because my parents are divorced so I tend to be in the middle a lot, seeing that I am the older child. My mother is sort of in a money jam right now so she is always yelling at me and my dad treats me like an adult when I am only 13. My sister isn't bad but she is a little snotty and she is very selfish. I like my friends better because they are my age for one and I can talk to them about anything!!! Especially troubles at home and they are always there for me!

I feel bad, but I do spend more time with my friends than my family. I come from a pretty dysfunctional family, so being around them is a reminder of their pain and drama. My friends are all well adjusted, self sufficient, positive people, so I tend to gravitate towards them.

Friends will sky-up on you when things get bad. Real family of the sort that I have will stick with you no matter what. I know some people have family that suck and that is a real shame.

of course youll like your friends better than your family cause you live with your family, not your friends, so if you get annoyed with a friend you can just not see them for a while. also you dont have to clean up after them or deal with their issues, just the person they choose to show you.

Sometimes, because friends are fun and you get to tell them secrets. You can rely on them. Most of the time you cant really rely on certain family members such as your parents
