Internet Explorer is part of the operating system and can't be deleted. It is needed to do system updates. You can remove all the icons but the program will remain.

I have mozilla and love it, much more secure than IE. I just deleted the IE icon so no one accidently clicks on it.
Out of site out of mind. no need to delete it, it's not going to hurt anything being on your system.

No, IE is integrated with the operating system. It is possible to remove it but VERY difficult. Also, should you remove IE then Windows Update will no longer work because Firefox cannot do ActiveX.

Yes you can.
DON'T. Fire fox has broken down on me once in 2 years of using it.
IE was in place for me to continue on the Internet.
Consider IE like the spare tire on for your car. You may never need it, but it is nice to know it is there.

IE is a part of Windows. You can't delete it 100%
If you don't want IE at all you have to use Linux.
