Why can't liberals admit the republicans are right and haven't made any mistakes?

Liberals aren't to blame for anything because they do NOTHING! They just sit there and complain that they lost the 2000 election, they complain that they lost the 2004 election, they complain that after winning the 2006 senate and house seats that they still can't do anything! And did I mention they have been INSISTING on defeat for our country for the past 5 years? Makes you wonder what would happen if things started to improve? Would they admit it? Or insist that it's still all bad?

Republicans are not wrong, neither are the Democrats. People are wrong, people HATE to admit when they are wrong, it is human nature. It is why we can lie with a straight face. Remember Bill Clinton shaking his finger at the reporter when he said "I did not have sexual relations with that woman?" How about Tricky Dick Nixon when he said he did not commit a crime, just before he resigned from the Presidency over Watergate? People lie, political parties just kind of pick a path and hope their people will follow along. Some do, some don't. Which is why you will see members of both parties voting with the "other" side all the time.

I find that, for the most part, polititions of ANY party would rather play the "blame game" rather than admitting to their mistakes. It all depends on the individual, not necessarily which party they belong to.

The truth is, there are flaws with every political party wether you are willing to admit to it or not.
Has the government EVER been perfect?
Has there not ALWAYS been serious problems reguardless of which party is in power?
OF COURSE THERE HAS!!!!
If you don't see that than you must be very blind!

The sort of debates questions like these begin are a silly waste of time because most of the time no one has any evidence with which to back up their statements.
It's usually simply a matter of opinion.

Republicans are liberals. What's the difference between admitting they're wrong and blaming themselves? Your question doesn't make sense.

Yeah! exceptionally that damned conservative Obama who retains insisting that the economic gadget is in shambles because of the fact of Liberal Bush. Hypocrisy: it is not in ordinary terms for breakfast anymore.

the blame game belongs to the liberals, as is the smear game.

Bush should admit he was wrong...when he started believing and working with Kennedy.

On what subject or are you saying that Republicans are wrong on everything? You should give an example and not paint with such a broad brush

Good question, personally I wish they'd both shut up as they're like children. Granted, one acts like a spoiled brat, and the other is a "special needs" child.

I'm gonna be fair here-not all republicans do, but you're right a lot do.

Vitter did take responsibility for his wrongdoing, however I loved his assertion that God had forgiven him. That seems to be common among republicans admiting wrongdoing. Remember Ted Haggard? Same thing.

The question should be why can't politicians admit when they are wrong and actually try to address the issue instead of pointing fingers at each other?
