I, too get migraines, nausea, and auras. Only when I get an aura I lose half my vision in both eyes. I also have problems with the same things you do. There isn't really anything doctors can do. I've heard of surgeries, but I don't think they were ever really past a 'trial' point. However, you should not be getting these everyday. 6-8 pills is also a lot. If you want my opinion, when you get a headache or migraine, don't take the pills at all. I would guess that your body has grown immune to its initial effect. So try to judge the headache/migraine and compare it to how bad it COULD be. If it's absolutely the worst one you've had and unbearable, take it. If you've had worse, then try it without. After a while of cleansing your body of this immunity, when you go back, it should work better. I usually take Motrin with my migraines when I get an aura and try to go to sleep immediately. I know it's hard because the auras serve as a white blindness that keeps you up, but still. Always try to sleep as soon as possible and it's usually a LOT better when I wake up.

Hi! I agree with some of the answers above about melatonin for sleep, but I couldn't live without GABA for stress. It's amazing! It's actually a neurotransmitter that your body makes naturally, and it has relaxing, anti-anxiety, and anti-convulsive properties. You can find it in health food stores, natural pharmacies, etc. I've used it MANY times (just pop a pill under your tongue to dissolve) and a few minutes later you're just not as worried about whatever you were worried about. I used it before my last job interview and the whole interview just felt super natural - I wasn't stressed at all! (And I got the job). I would think melatonin combined with GABA would help mellow you out enough to get some winks in. Good luck!

If you are under added stress your body will naturally use up more of your B12 supplies. As B12 is a water soluble vitamin you need to replenish your body with it every day. You need 2mcg per day and the best way to get it is to include more organ meats (liver and kidneys), cheese, milk, fish and eggs in your diet. If you are a vegetarian then a multi B supplement would be the way to go. Don't buy the B vitamins separately - B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and B12 - as they work best synergistically (together).
Symptoms of B12 deficiency - insomnia, constipation, headaches and migraines, exhaustion and fatigue, irritability, moodiness, inability to concentrate, nausea and vomiting, excessive sweating, prickling and tingling sensations in the outer extremities, chest pains and even heart palpitations!! These symptoms aren't really pretty and certainly uncomfortable and scary, particularly when you don't know that a simple vitamin deficiency is causing them.............. good luck.

Melatonin can be purchased at your local health store. It is specific to sleeping biorythms.
Also, magnesium and /or calcium magnesium combo supplements in either liquid form or a powder that you can dissolve in hot water, taken at bedtime, will help relax you as well as make you sleepy.
If you have access to a good Ayurvedic or Chinese physician they would be able to prescribe diet and herbs for you that would be personally tailored to your own body.
Make sure also that you are getting a lot of exercise, that helps a lot with stress.
Good luck!

Hi,
Formula supplements, especially those containing B vitamins such as thiamin, niacin and riboflavin, are actually meant for physical stress, not emotional stress.
Firstly eat a well balanced diet. Drink plenty of fluids and get regular exercise. Relaxation techniques will also help.
Yet also a shortage of vitamins and minerals can be detrimental to your health. But did you know it can also affect your stress level? Stress is known to lessen the potency of the immune system in addition to causing feelings of frustration, anxiety and in some cases unhappiness.
You may want to try the following which ive listed.
VITAMIN C
****************
*Powerful antioxidant protection.
*Raises immune system function. When stressed your immune system is lowered.
*Maintains healthy bones, teeth and gums.
*It is needed for antibody production.
*It has natural antihistamine properties.
GINSENG TEA
********************
Gives you a boost of energy.
Mix one teaspoon of royal jelly into a cup of ginseng tea and drink this mixture twice every day to increase your energy levels and alertness.
PASSIONFLOWER
**************************
Helps with insomnia or nervous tension.
Use half a teaspoon of the herb to one cup of water just boiled. Take this tea every 3 to four hours.
BUGLEWEED
*******************
Soothes the nerves.
To take this herb, make an infusion with one cup of hot water and one teaspoon of bugleweed.
NEROLI OIL and LAVENDER OIL
******************************************
Are an essential oils thats help to aid a peaceful nights sleep.
A few drops of neroli essential oil and lavender essential oil in a diffuser an hour before bed time, and you will not only fall asleep, but you will stay asleep and wake up feeling refreshed and ready to go. The oils can be brought from health shops and some chemists. They come in a small dark bottle and will say pure essential oil on the bottle.
recommend combining neroli essential oil and lavender essential oil with an unscented lotion and applying before bedtime. It not only smells relaxing and wonderful, but it really works to help cure insomnia, sleep disorders, and other sleeping problems. The best part is, this all natural sleep aid treatment has no side-effects like medications can.
ALSO
**********
Try playing some soft instrumental music quietly in your bedroom to help send you off to sleep. Relaxation Cd's are the best,
