Today is the last day I'm taking Clomid and I wanted to see when the best time to start using my ovulation kit is? My doc said to DTD on the 12th, 14th, 16th, &18th doc, but I wanted to be doubly sure and just in case I o on an off day. So when should I start sprinkling the wand?

I started using mine every day starting the 10th day of my cycle. However, several months I found that my test line was hard to read....part of it was dark and then it would fade to light. That is a negative according to the directions. So I went to www.peeonastick.com and she advised to pee two times a day and guess what? It worked like a charm! I was missing my surge because I was testing only once a day. So I would start with day 10 and do it twice a day until you get a positive result. On the Clomid you should be ovulating around day 14. At least that was the goal of my Clomid.

I used ovulation kits the month I conceived, and I used a test every day, sometimes twice a day because the window during which you get your positive can be less than 24 hours and you could miss it if you don't test frequently. It's expensive, but worth it. Also, I tried several brands, but the Answer brand was the only one that really seemed to work for me. When I got my positive with the Answer test I still was getting negatives with a different brand :)

I used the kit for a few months once daily and discovered that my surge always came on day 12 of my cycle. Definitely do the test at least once a day. I hadn't heard of doing it twice a day, but what the others say makes sense.
I would recommend starting with once daily and seeing if that works, then doing it twice a day if you aren't getting results.

Start taking it on day 10.
I do it 2x a day because my surge doesn't last very long. I do it at 12pm, and 8pm. I also like www.peeonastick.com

clomid increases the chances of miscarriage and tubal pregnancies but to answer your question do it in the middle of your cycle
