It brings wealth only to the people selling them. That's and old superstition, according to some people the elephant's behinds should aim to the front door. But again that's just bull#$$; magic doesn't work on real life.

a education and a job brings you wealth. or winning the lottery. if anything buying a statue will cost money thus turning you away from your goal of wealth. who knows about the elephant. im not a doctor

I have a 19th century Warrior God of Wealth statue (Gen. Zhong Kong Ming) and I burn incense to him in my Ming Dynasty ceramic incense burner.
So far so good.

well yeah many people belive that.. they also put a dollar bill or so around it.. i seen this in a couple of friends house.. honestly i dont believe this.. i believe your wealth comes from how you manage your life..but then again everyone thinks different.. hope it helps!
