Can anyone recommend any small towns within about a 200-300 mile radius that would have little shops, diners, and antiques. Someplace quite where i could just get away for a couple days? I'm only 19 and i was going alone, so nowhere shady.

Well, I live in Indiana. A great town to visit in south central Indiana is Nashville, Brown county. It's a nice old fashiond place with tons of little shops and diners! The link below will give you details!!! It's not too expesive, and it's fun to go alone or with friends! Good luck on your trip!! : )

Try Huntington WV. Its got the small town feel while still having plenty to do. The Ohio river is five miles away, mountains on the other side. The college in town makes for a great mixture of people.

Try the Hocking Hills area (Yahoo Hocking Hills or go to:http://www.hockinghills.com/). Tons of things to do like shopping for antiques, lots of hiking and yes,,,,very quite. Not shady either, nice quiet town and cheap loding.

Have fun.
