Don't really know what the bible says regarding this but I think the married one is the adulterer. That doesn't make the other person innocent though.

Girl, you know the answer to this! If you were married and your man was cheating...Hello adulterer. The idea of it all is that if both people are married everybody is wrong. If however, one is married and the other is single then who is wrong. It seems like you are asking that question.Morals and values have alot to do with what people do. It is easy for a married person to be guilty because it is wrong to explore relations outside the marriage. If you are looking for a more biblical reference of guidance " Thy shall not covet thy neighbors wife", which in essence goes both ways "husband". Then again if you are like me..I say this..Fire burns and if you decide to play with it, you better keep under control or it will burn down all that you have. That is just me. I do not condone home wrecking nor self destruction- coming between a man and his wife or a man who has a mistress to on the left and wife on the right. It is about personal choice, ethics and morale. If you play for keeps , play to win, or are you just playing. Hell, all of it makes you tired but what can be endured has the most value to you as a person (what you want). I am not playing second best but are you? I am the grand prize winner all or nothing but are you? Just think about need and wants, pros and cons and well, things will fall into prospective.

Both of you are. Does it matter if we explain it from the Bible? Will it really stop you? I've noticed that it's always the ugly, lonely, older women that have affairs with married men. Poor ladies. I guess you'll never get a man of your own.

I don't think of it from a religion standpoint (maybe someone else can help you with the mythological view), but from the standpoint of would I want it done to me? If not, then I try not to do it to others...if a single person is having an affair with a married person, the single person is just as guilty of wrongdoing, unless they were unaware their playmate was married.
The dictionary definition of adultery is: "voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and someone other than his or her lawful spouse."...by that definition, the single person would be an adulterer also.

You both are. It is the fact that you both know that he is married. If you really want to get technical, if you were both single it would just be fornication. Why in the world would you put yourself through this anyway? Cant make you happy to have to share him, and not even be able to share lifes great moments with him.

When it's carrying on any kind of romantic/sexual relationship that is not within the realms of ethics and morality it's adultery. Even if you are daydreaming or lusting after someone in your head....you are half way in bed with them and might as well consider yourself an adulterer there too.
Everyone has fleeting thoughts and lusty visions with people we see and talk to, but I'm talking about thinking about it over and over....on a regular basis.

He ALONE is an adulterer..His the one who promised his wife forever NOT you...He took the vows NOT you..His the one married NOT you...His the one risking it all NOT you..His the one cheating NOT you...
But that does not mean that you are not wrong...You are wrong for dating a married man...how would you feel if your husband was cheating on you...Don't you want some one of your own..
why are you lowering yourself to basically stealing some other woman's man..

Technically you both are if you have played at hiding the pickle. Just dating and the whole thing would have to be clearly defined and discected and discussed; and who cares. Life is short so have a little fun.

The Bible states Anyone that sees another sex naked without being married is committing adultery. So both parties are committing adultery. It doesnt state only if you are married can you committ adultery.

You are both adulterer's but generally it is the married person that gets tagged with that label. You simply are the home wrecker.
