Do you always say "Please", & "Thank you". Do you put your napkin in your lap? Do you hold doors open for strangers?
What do you consider, 'good manners'?
(Again....rude answers not allowed here....!)

OK---wish I could give you all (except one person) the 10 pts.! :-)
I'm happy to know that manners are not really a 'lost art', as someone had said to me...

Well, I'm good at all those except the ole' napkin' in the lap trick! Good manners is always being polite, even when someone has punched ya buttons a bit. Try to bite ya tongue for the sake of others. Opening the door for ya lady or lighting her cigarette if she smokes. Pulling out a chair for someone.
Sweetie this list could just go on and on but ya got the general idea, I'm sure. The reason I don't put a napkin on my lap? Heck, I ain't plannin' on spillin' anything......LOL...........
Have a GREAT DAY!

Ma'am
I believe that I have good manners. I open doors for strangers. I smile nicely to people on the streets or in the market. I chew with my mouth closed. I put my napkin in my lap when I am eating out at a restaurant or when guests are over. I have the curtesy to return phone calls and emails. I obey my parents and teachers. You be the judge whether I am a polite person or not.

If you wish, may I please be honored as to be rewarded the 10 points for having best answer.

Thank you for your time.

I always try to use good manners. There are times I admit, I don't. If I am rushing, in a hurry or just being in a lazy mood.

But for the most part, I do and I always use them around my elders out of respect.

I do all those things. You get back what you put out there. It's just respectful to do those things. I don't think kids now days know what the words "Respect" and "Manners" are.

My mother taught me well.

Yes, I say please and thank you, hold the door open for others and always put my napkin on my lap when seated at the table for a meal.

I'd say that I have relatively good manners. I'm not rude, but I'm certainly not a saint.
