I love the fact that Dr. Seuss first published the word as a created character in the book , 'If I ran the Zoo'....
Check it out.... the nerd is a very funny little creature that Dr. Seuss made up.
Then... it became a commonly used word.
I like it because it goes to show you that our language is ever evolving..... ever changing.....

Mine is: OK. It stands for oll korrect ,a result of a fab for comical abbreviations that flourished in the late 1830's.
