Go with the Wii and some extra controllers.
You'll keep yourself entertained for months on end.

Since you asked in personal finance, the obvious answer would be to use the money in a beneficial manner. Getting more junk that you do not need it not beneficial. If you use it to pay off debt then that is beneficial. Even buying a CD is better than buying junk. A 2 year CD at 4% will make you a whopping $25. However, that will be worth much more than what you can sell the wii for. Besides, the wii will only cost you more money because of all of the different stuff you will spend on it. More games, better controllers and stuff like that.

If you want to make a good financial decision then put the money in savings and do not touch it unless it is for an emergency. If you don't save it and later down the road you have an emergency then don't cry. Just find a mirror and gripe out the moron who refused to save money when you had it.

If you open an on line ING Direct savings account and deposit that $300 you can easily earn an immediate bonus $25. You must leave the money in the savings account for at least 2 weeks, but that's a free $25 while you DECIDE if you really should burn through that money on stuff you don't need.

In order to earn that free $25, you'll need to have someone who currently has an ING Direct account to send you the promotional link. The great part of this deal is they earn $10 for everyone who opens an account.

Go to ING Direct and check the thing out before you make any decisions.

Something to keep in mind, if you don't know specifically what you NEED to buy, you probably don't need it. LOL

You shouldnt feel obligated to spend your money. You will probably find something next week that you want even more! You should check your budget to see if you can afford to spend on something extra like a new cell or video games. You might get in a tight spot with buying food, or paying rent if your renting an apartment. Be careful with your money, it can be gone like *that*.

why not put in the bank to collect interest? Why spend it on frivolous items, when you could save up to live a life? Use your 300 to build up interest and that way you have money in the future. You will not have any money woes to be stressed over. You never know when something will happen.
