This is not a widely used standard term. It appears to have been coined to describe a specific exercise used to expand one's vocabulary. It is used in a Duke University "Word Power" workbook for students in 4th to 6th grade. Unfortunately, online you can only view the table of contents, which does not provide an explanation of their meaning, though it lists this exercise in the "fun and games" section, for whatever that's worth. (If you REALLY want to know, I suppose you could ask them to send you a copy for $40!)

It has been proven that, as we used our mind more and more, our skulls have adjusted to allow us to have more brain. As we developed more brain, we got smarter. Now we are at the point that the only way to have more brain is to have a bigger head.
