Specifically after troops begin returning from Iraq and Afghanistan upset at the government, mainly Democrats, President Bush and some Republicans at the moment, who fail to offer much financial or emotional support for them. Combine that with the population's dislike of the war, disgust with the government and economic problems. What do you believe the likeliness if of conflict breaking out in this country?

Just something to think about.

As a soldier who served in both Afghanistan and Iraq, I can assure you that the last thing I want to do now that I'm home... is fight. I would imagine most of my brothers and sisters in arms would agree with me.

Slim to none.
I agree with most of the concerns you site - but I don't believe economic problems are presently a big concern.
If I were a returning soldier, I would be very upset that an esteem representative of ours on Capital Hill publicly declared that America has lost the war - and at a time when I and my comrades were on the front lines and in harms way.

any war in the US..will follow the Russian or German template..

Socialists..being unyielding..and insistent that their way
is the best way..You can tell by the current tenor..we are headed down the wrong road..

Hitler came to power because of street fights..and unrest
on the German streets..the Bolsheviks fought the Socialists in the bloody Red/White war..that lasted 3 years

just the rudeness and desperation you see by callous
idiots here..with nothing to say..leads me to believe
some day they will be so disjointed..and disconnected..
you'll see urban domestic terror..that will lead to war

In other words, what are the chances of battle weary Iraqi war veterans coming home and being SO UPSET with the government that they're willing to go against the oath that they swore to uphold and declare war on their own country? Probably not very likely. But I can tell you that in speaking with soldiers who served and returned home, it was news to them that we are losing the war!

I don't wish for war, but there needs to be some major changes. Both parties (and it's sad there's only really two) are SO completely corrupt and self-interested it's frightening. People should be angry, annoyed and disgusted.

None.
The Democrats betrayed our soldiers during Nam, too. The Democrats also betrayed our country. And nothing happened.

Problems with the Economy????
Our Economy is the Greatest in the History of the Nation.
Not hard to tell that you are too young to work, or you would appreciate this Economy.

Not likely I just want to continue to go to school and live in peace and find the perfect girl. Most of my battle buddies are probally the same way.

I'd just about (notice I said JUST ABOUT) say let the soldiers come home and let the terrorists follow them here just to prove to all the anti-war hippie fags that it is necessary for troops to stay there.

I think there is very little chance of conflict breaking out in the country, there's too much surveilliance. I think if the mentality leaned towards that direction, you might see the emergence of "thought" police.

i think theres goign to be alot of resentment...and the ability to push war isnt going to work at all.

eventually the prospect of war is going to give everyone a bad taste in their mouth and no one is going to want to do it.

people who see it as a viable way to gain profit are going to push but the disgareement is most likely going to push too hard against it.

its like trying to start the draft again...theres far too much weight to push and no one can do it.
