I would only name my child Edgar out of the boys name, and even then I really don't like it. Those sound 'frightening' with more than just a Victorian ring.
Ivy out of the girls... same thing.
I would suggest something not so Russian... Vanessa Annette, Victoria Elizabeth, Victor Troy, etc.

I'm sorry, I don't particularly like any of the names you suggested. Von Baden is such an unusual name in itself, and a mouthful, I would suggest a simple first name. There are plenty of old-fashioned names that are back in vogue, that are far simpler than those you suggested (i.e., Noah; Micah; Isabel; Olivia; etc). Think of your child, having to spell not only his/her last name, but also a first name; giving a child the name Vladimir Von Baden is more a burden, I think, than a gift. But the choice should be yours and your husband's.
Best of luck to you!

Constantine is ok for the boy name. A boy named Vladimir will constantly be accused of being a vampire (oh - are you?) One named Atticus will be accused of being a Roman slave, Finbar will be a fig bar, and Edgar is just icky. Keep working on girl names. How about Genevive, I know there are better spellings of that. Viola and Ivy are too short and drop off the whole name because of the substantial last name. My cousin is named Florence and has always regretted her parent's choice, and Ingrid just doesn't flow with Von Baden.
Add another vote for Olivia. That would be cool.

Von is a German word which means 'of', is means that the owner of that name is from the German aristocracy. Came from the time when the noblemen took the name of their lands. In French the nobility particle is : de , it means exactly the same thing Von Ferdinand seems a bit strange but if you heard it in a soap opera it was probably meant to be funny.
