after i read that it sounded pretty creepy...i mean the animal was alive in the pic...just dead now, ok?

no i dont think so....i have photo's of my cat on the wall who died last year. i loved him to bits and always wanna remember him

No. I still have framed pics of my black lab that died 3 years ago. I had her for 13 years. I loved that dog like a member of my family, and it's right beside the pic of my 3 yr old chocolate lab, that is living. It's memories. Good ones!

No, weird is taking the body to a taxidermist. There is nothing wrong with keeping a picture around, or even keeping the animal's ashes. It was a family member for ten years--nothing wrong with remembering.

Pets can be like children to people. Would you take down all the pics of your loved one just because they were now deceased? No? Then why do so for a pet, just because it died?

No..not weird. And like you said, they should have been alive in the picture not dead. If they were dead then yes it's weird.

Well when I'm dealing with normal I kind of have a hard time but I don't think it's normal but some people keep dead people pictures around. Yikes!!!!!

No, certainly not. I had a dog 2 years ago that i still have a picture of, even though he is dead, i still keep it in an album. because i loved him and i want to remember him.

no, if you loved them, did you stop loving them? I don't have large pics of any of my pets but I do have a small picture of my sweet cat Ozzy that is dead no. *sniff* Oh, Jackie, my avatar is alive.

Hehe I knew what you meant. yes its ok, I have tons of pictures of a dog and a cat I used to have. I loved them so much, I still do even though they're no longer here. Having pictures of them helps me remember them and all the love and companionship they gave me.
