I cut myself shaving about 3 hous ago and it hasn't stopped bleeding. It changed from a steady stream to oozing.
Help Me!!! I don't mind blood, but it hurts like heck. And I really want it to stop.
It's on the back of my lower left leg.

wet a small piece of kleenex or paper towel and put it over the cut, that should help with the bleeding after a few minutes, then put a bandaid over it.
Make sure that its a big enough piece to cover the cut, but not a huge piece!
Works for me everytime!

Hi...the best way to get a cut to stop bleeding is with direct pressure on the cut using a sterile gauze pad. Keep the pressure on the cut until it stops bleeding into the gauze. Change the gauze frequently.

clean it if you haven't already with disinfectant or even water if that isn't available. then put a bandage over it and check it after 10 minutes. if it doesn't stop, call your doctor. do you normally get severe bleeding from cuts? put ice on it too. if it gets too cold, wrap a napkin or paper towel or cloth around it. good luck.

I would just hold something on it to put pressure on it for several minutes. I'm not really sure of much else to do.
