9/11 CONSPIRACY THEORISTS: Why do you believe that the towers were brought down with controlled explosives?

Take a brief look at this website and then try to convince me that the towers were rigged with explosives...

Univee: Maybe they are more complex. Though I still support this war (in Iraq), maybe the administrations intentions were different than what they said they were. If it was for oil, so be it...we need oil...it is going to run out in 30 years and we'll need every last drop of it that we can get in order to secure a peaceful transition to an alternate energy source....though that doesn't mean it was right for Bush to lie about it...if he did lie.

Either way, the Iraqis don't deserve to be left there to die and we need to finish this mission.

Univee...again i agree with you. Our government needs to do so much more to initiate the use of these found alternate resources.

We are living large now, but our dependence on oil is going to be our downfall. We are so attached to this source of finite energy that we have shelved any other ideas about alternate energy.

The government needs to look forward.

Dude once blocked me for answering conspiracy question. I just showed him what's wrong with his claims. Now I try not answering these 911 questions too much. I used to. They block you if you show them why the thing doesn't make sense.

9/11 claims are so outrageous it makes my eye balls pop out.

One of my favorite is video clip of Rumsfeld mistakenly saying al Qaida shot down a plane on 911. Rumsfeld mistakenly says plane is shot down over Pennsylvania. When it was crashed by al Qaida hijackers. This clip still circulate on internet and they claim "Rumsfeld admit to shooting down plane."
I don't remember exact quote, but Rumsfeld say something like
"....those same people(al Qaida) who bombed trains in Madrid, people who bombed bus in London, and shot down plane over Pennsylvania on 9/11...."

They use that clip to claim Rumsfeld shot down plane on 9/11.

I'm like WHAAAT?

There's bunch of claims like that. Things taken way way out of context. Makes you go huh? Whaaaa?

I always tried asking them why they're so skeptical of gov, but not skeptical of conspiracy theories. They hate that. Tell me I'm defending evil gov and Bush.

They don't realize they're being blind followers to these 9/11 claims. It's weird.

Maybe things are a bit more complex than most people on either side would want to think.

ritefielder- I am beginning to like you sir. usually disagreement around these parts leads to locked horns. We think differently, but you are civil and I attempt that myself.

My feeling about this need for oil thing is driven by this thought: I have quite a bit of scientific training. I believe that there is a world of energy out there that can be tapped rather immediately. People are constantly saying things like: solar energy hasn't been developed sufficiently yet, or, only nuke plants can give us the bang for the buck we need. My own reserach has shown me that these thoughts are less than half truths: they are deceptions. There are US army bases getting ALL their power from wind and solar. If it works for them, why can't it work in many places?

There are sources of energy that were shelved thirty years ago so as not to create competition with the oil companies (ocean thermal conversion, dry bed geothermal, pebble bed reactors): Energy independence does not await the technology. It awaits the vested interests of the oil companies to get out of the way, and the research to be allowed unfettered. That is why so many of us do not trust Bush (an oil man) or Cheney (an oil man) as our leaders at this critical moment.

But again, thanks for the civility. Perhaps we can pave a better path on these boards for others.

I think it could be possible that explosives could have been planted in the WTC before hand by the terrorist themselves. Of course a theory but a much more sensible one I think. Inside Job people call it...well look at the UK...Doctors were on the list of the last terroist attacks, 9/11...pilots. They are out there in the wide open just blending in with the public until they decide to strike. How do any of us know there were not suicide bombers in that building amongst the dead. It was so destroyed there was no way anyone could know. They could have simply been employees in the WTC and no body ever new and never will. But again just a theory but seems much more plausible then some of the others I have seen.

Official, then unofficial, in that order.

They believe it because they've never read the official reports and once they've lost themselves in the silliness of conspiracy theory, they have the excuse to ignore any argument to the contrary, like U.F.O. buffs who've lost it (some are very sane) and who've decided that any contrary evidence is either a government conspiracy or Alien Control. They are LOST! There is no getting them back.

Whatever finally caused the collapsed of the world trade towers does not change my position that the US government was involved in the collapsed of the world trade towers and the death of thousands of innocent people!

My theory? It is just not possible for several Arab-looking men (in the USA, a society that is always very suspicious of foreigners) to simply walk into the cookpit of planes without a recognized escort! Those tragic incidents of 911/2001 were all planned to facilitate the 2003 invasion of Iraq and attempted colonization of Iraq and the Middle East! Those "terrorists" were escorted into the cockpits of those planes by some well-recognized US entities with authority!

Who desires information. Our government loves us and can in no way attempt to eliminate our freedoms. NORAD did no longer stand down they have been doing the main suitable they might with all those drills Cheney scheduled for that day. Defy the regulations of physics?? steel homes continuously crumple. I cant have confidence all that steel and urban stood that long. would not steel soften at like 200F besides. those hi-Jackers ain't nonetheless alive. Bin weighted down probable cloned them or somthing. basically human beings like the BBC, AP, CNN, and MSNBC have reported stuff like that who believes those idiots any way. The FBI even reported with regard to the uncertainty of the Idenity of the hi- jackers all of us understand how loopy those FBI adult men are.
