Well, I never shaved down there before and it is very bushy. I know that is gross, but I really need help. I am afraid that if I try to shave, everything will get tangled because I have so much hair.
And no, waxing is out of the question.

I have the same problem. I picked up a Conair Personal Trimmer at Kmart for $15. Makes things MUCH easier!! Trim all the hair super short then you can shave the parts you want bare and have nice short hair left on the rest. I use a fresh disposable razor when I'm gonna do the "sensitive areas" so I have a super sharp blade and less irritation and bumps.

You need a bikini trimmer or you can use and man's trimmer sold at most drug stores. They have an attachment that pretty much combs through the hair thinning it out and making it much shorter. Some of them will shave very close if you take off the attachment. If not you can proceed with a razor but be careful. Waxing can be dangerous in some circumstances.

A personal hair trimmer works great to start if the hair is especially bushy or long. After trimming (it doesn't have to be perfect...just shorter), use a razor to shave the rest. Always take your time and be careful. Experiment with different ways of positioning yourself to find what works best for you.

Don't use nair "down there". Why is waxing out of the question? And why do you want to do it if you have to ask your mom? I didn't like shaving at all...made everything prickly and uncomfortable. Trim only or go for the wax...it isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Good luck!

Comb out first then use a scissors then you shave.Make sure you put some alcohol on a piece of cotton and wipe the shaved area (make sure you don't get it inside) after you apply the alcohol then use some powder or Vaseline so that you won;t get bumps. The alcohol then powder works best. Why do you have to ask your mom.

Cream and a steady hand, or get a buzzer and wright your name in there like in the snow! lol
Don't do it, the 2days of ingrown hairs and pain is not worth the shave, trim yes, and wax yes... many women finding it inexpensive way to get them removed perminently through light therapy killing the hair at the root.. but that takes you growng a nice big bush again! LOL
Don't grow any tomatoes in there!

Its not rocket science, use a good pair of scissors to first cut the hair very short, then shave. Use a good moisturizing shaving gel and a new razor....GOOD LUCK, the first time is the hardest.

Why don't you try trimming first? You wouldn't go at a yard with 3 foot grass with a regular lawnmower would you? You'd whack the weeds down to something more manageable like a weed wacker first and THEN cut the rest with the mower.

Try trimming it alittle before you shave. This could help with it getting tangled, since this is what your afrain of.
Also besure to shave with shaving cream to help reduce razor burn.
Also after try putting baby powder or medicated powder on the razor burn. I tried it and it has really helped me.

Use a mens beard trimmer first, then shave. Much safer than scissors!
