it is diff for each woman. Normally it is 14 days before you get your next period so if you are a 28 day period person you would ovulate about day 14. The first day you bleed is counted as day 1 of your cycle. My cycles are 31 days so i ovulate on my 16th day.

About halfway through your cycle. It occurs 10-16 days before your period, so if you have a regular cycle just subtract those days from the length to get an estimate of what day you would be ovulating. For example with a regular 28 day cycle 28 - 10 = 18 & 28 - 16 = 12 so ovulation should be somewhere between days 12 and 18. This isn't a very exact way of predicting your ovulation though, the best way to find out would be to chart your cervical fluid and basal body temps.

Half-way through your cycle is an estimate.

Signs of ovulation include: rising cervix, softening cervix, increase of fertile cervical mucous, rising basal body temperature and increased libido. Sometimes there is also ovulatory pain, craving foods with lots of protein, folic acid and vitamin C, vivid dreams, among numerous other symptoms.

The day of ovulation can change for many women - in other words, it might be Cycle Day 13 in June, Cycle Day 15 in July and Cycle Day 12 in August. Factors that delay ovulation can include stress, illness, lack of sleep.

Every woman ought to learn to track her own ovulatory patterns if only because a serious change in those patterns could indicate a serious health problem, such as PCOS or ovarian cancer.

It occurs about half way through your cycle. The first part of your cycle, which begins with your period, is the folliculor stage where your follicles prepare eggs. At ovualtion 1 egg is chosen to be released. Then begins your luteal phase which is between 12-16 days usually, varies from person to person, at the end of which your period starts if you are not pregnant.
