Keep in mind- the Second Amendment is a "Break Glass in Case of Emergency" clause. When actually put to use, you would be raising a militia and taking up arms against the government of the United States of America. It's revolution if you succeed, and high treason if you fail. Don't attempt such a thing lightly.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed"

The second amendment has been bastardized to promote the NRA's agenda, but I have a solution. Everyone that owns a firearm and is a member of the NRA become part of the militia, which would be the national guard now and they all become eligible for Iraq, Afghanistan, and soon to be Iraq. Can't have it both ways., time to reup.

it depends on the state. here in Washington D.C they are discussing a similiar topic that could affect the rest of the country. if you state says you can't own guns, then you can't. the state has to realize that it is unconstitutional not to allow people to own guns. if the state says you can, then you don't need to use the second amendment because no one will be coming after you for breaking a law that doesn't exist.

In theory, perhaps. But the moment they use weaponry against, say, law enforcement people, they will only be hastening the decline of our society.
but relax; the 2nd amendment is clear enough and secure enough. They won't try to take your guns away. The worst you can expect is more regulation and, perhaps, the ban of some odd-ball models.

It says you have the right to bear arms. Doesn't say anything about the right to actually use them

If enough people do so, then yes.
