I disagree about the balk..you have to have it to keep some control of the range of motion the pitcher can have on the mound......I DONT agree w/ the dropped 3rd strike...3 strikes your out no matter what!

i agree with Bud Selig ruining baseball since he's become commish. i mean, there was actually parody back then and teams were competing. now its all the big market teams winning and teams like KC, Tampa, and Pitts. are in trouble because they don't have the help of revenue sharing (there is some but its crappy) and a salary cap, which would make things much more even (like the NFL). It would help the game as a whole be that much better, look at the success of the NFL from when Tagliabue took over the league in the late 80's to his retirement this past year. he made the league so much better in his short time as commish. Selig should take notes from him on how to do the job.

Having a defined strike zone. It makes no sense because it is never, ever called consistently by every umpire.
It's funny that umpires are allowed so much slack on balls and strikes. I don't think fans would be so forgiving were they to arbitrarily call runners safe or out. I know those are different calls, but the rules for both are on the books.

Not allowing instant replay for homeruns. I think if it were instituted in other parts of the game, it would taint it a bit. But it's necessary for homeruns that the umpires can't see. If the cameras capture it perfectly, why not use it and get the call right?
