I NEVER started my period yet, and I am 13 years old. Should I be concerned? All my friends have their's already.

I didn't get mine till I was 14. Are you really skinny or short? I am. Being small for your age can make you start later. Girls generally start their periods when they reach about 90-100 pounds. It's more about size than age.

You should only be concerned if you haven't had you period at 17.

There's no need to be worried. Alot of young girls don't get their period until their 15 years old. You have nothing to worry about.

no, don't be concerned. Some girls will start as late as 16.

its fine,,im almost 14 and i just now started
i was worried like you because i already started having cramps and i didnt know my family history to see if cervical cancer (sp) runs in the family (im adopted)
but its ok my best friend's mom didnt start until she was 16
if you endup not starting by then,,see a doctor

You are perfectly fine. I know people who didn't start theirs' until they were 16. If you don;t start after your 16, you should go and talk to a doctor maybe. That's what my doctor told me.

people have different ages from when they start so dont worry =)
