Do you mean a 100 lb box for $825? If so, you'd normally pay $850 for 100 lb, and therefore you save $25. If you're actually getting a 100 lb box for $8.25, you'll save a whopping $850 - $8.25 = $841.75.

You save 25 cents.
This is a rather strange question the way you have it worded.
If you meant 100lb box for $8.25 per lb, then the answer is 100*.25= $25.

you mean if the 100 lb box is $8.25 per pound?
if so, it would be a total of $825 rather than $850, so you save $25 dollars,
that was easy.

100 lb box for 8.25
so 1lb of screws cost: 8.25/100 = 0.0825
savings per lb: (8.25 - 0.0825 ) = 8.1675
percentage savings = (8.1675/8.25) * 100 % = 99%

You save .25 per pound times 100 pounds.
25 x 100 = 2500, then put the decimal in there (two spaces) $25.00. TA DAAAAAA!

$25.00 if you need 100 lbs of screws. If you don't need that many you will save nothing at all
