Dang, and I wanted to win the "idiot answers" ribbon.
Well, it has been my experience that self-confident people just "are". They don't have to showboat their talents, their attitudes, or flaunt just how special they are. They don't have to do any of that to receive attention...they just come across as being, well, confident.
Arrogance is something you can almost smell on a person. Perhaps it's the brash way in which they literally tell you how great they are, or they are constantly talk, talk, talking, without actually doing anything...they're nothing but a lot of hot air, and like bad eggs, you can smell them from a mile away.

Self confidence is knowing and believing that you are capable of doing anything you set your mind to. To not be intimidated by anything I believe.
Arrogance- well that is just being all full of your self and thinking you know more than the rest of the world. You can see arrogance on a person just like self confidence-but the prettier one is the one with Self Confidence.

True self confidence is shown in the way someone carries themselves and how they treat the people around them (as they themselves would like to be treated. A person with self confidence does not need to advertise the fact that they are comfortable with themselves. It's not like they're in a contest with anyone. Arrogance is usually shown by a person who thinks they know everything, and negates everyone else's opinion because they think they are always right. Plus, arrogant people are usually either very vain or have issues about themselves, so they use arrogance as a *weapon*. Anyone who possesses true self confidence does not need to scream it to the world, or prove it to anyone.

I just love the way ya smoke em' off from the get-go! Self-confidence is nothing more than belief, faith, reliance and
trust in one's self on the whole. While arrogance is disdainful,
insolent, lofty, lordly, overbearin', presumptious, proud, and the idea that ya are somehow superior to people around you.
I don't understand the proud part, I'm proud of several things
1) I'm proud to be an American. 2) I'm proud of my kids, ect, ect. guess they mean over-doin' it! Well, have a GREAT DAY!
Hope this helped................

Definitely. I have a friend who thinks of herself as self-confident but she is really arrogant. There is a fine line between confidence in oneself and thinking you are better than everyone else. Sometimes I want to smack her.

Self confidence is believing in yourself but also able to have the ability not to show someone else up - you're confident, but you don't need to show it - it's just there
Arrogance is being smug and rubbing it in everyone else's face.

Confidence has a magnetic pull that includes people and their opinions.
Arrogance has a polarizing affect that pushes people away and leaves people feeling resentful and angry.
